I’ve spent the past couple of years living on the French Riviera, which has given me plenty of time to figure out which places live up to the hype, and which I probably wouldn’t rush back to.
Nice makes an excellent base for exploring the Côte d’Azur, with places like Antibes, Menton, Monaco and Villefranche-sur-Mer all easy to reach without a car. But some of my favorite things about living here are much simpler: finding a really good bakery, having an apéro overlooking the sea, or discovering a restaurant I immediately want to bring visiting friends to.
